Gal Szekely, LMFT

Gal is a teacher in Hakomi mindfulness based somatic therapy. He is the founder of The Couples Center, a bay area organization dedicated to helping people create thriving relationships. His work is dedicated to helping people create a fulfilling life and is grounded in somatic and spiritual principles. He leads workshops and trainings for therapists and the public and is an adjunct faculty at CIIS university. Gal holds an MA in counseling from CIIS University and an MA in social psychology from Tel Aviv University.

Jasmine Flanigan, LMFT

Jasmine is a licensed psychotherapist who has spent decades supporting people as they heal from trauma, reconnect with themselves, and build more fulfilling relationships. She weaves together a rich blend of modalities — including AEDP, EMDR, IFS, Ideal Parent Protocol, Hakomi, Attachment Theory, and the Tamura Method — to support each client's unique transformative journey. Before earning her Master's in Integrative Counseling Psychology from CIIS, she spent 18 years in private practice as an integrative bodyworker, bringing a deeply embodied understanding to her work. Jasmine holds her relationships with clients and students as a true privilege and a

Matthias Geiger, MFA

Matthias was born and raised in Germany at the edge of the Black Forest. He received an MFA in New York City and taught at NYU before accepting a professor position at the Department of Art at UC Davis. He started his private somatic counseling practice in 2011 in Berkeley, integrating Western psychology and earth-based spirituality. He studied Hakomi, R-CS, spiritual counseling, sound healing, therapeutic touch, conscious movement, Tai Chi, Yoga and breath work. Creative expression, movement, music and explorations in sound are a lifelong passion of his. Working with psychotherapeutic touch to engage with the inner child is an integral part of his practice. He started working with Wynn Tamura in 2017 and is still engaged in a continuous process of learning and growing with him.

Teri “Sachi” Swanberg, LMFT

Sachi is a licensed psychotherapist that has been utilizing integral body-based therapy with clients since 2016.  She obtained her Masters from California Institute of Integral Studies, and her Bachelors in Philosophy and Religion from San Francisco State University.  Sachi uses a client-centered, experiential approach of working with the whole person, and bringing them into the here and now.  She brings a combination of grounded embodiment and intuitive wisdom to support clients in their transformation.  Moreover, she invites a safe environment for the wounded child to emerge, and insights on how the adult and child can connect, heal, and grow together.  For more information, visit: nakaimatherapy.com

Mia Yoder, LMFT

I graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies, with a master’s in counseling and a concentration in somatics. Somatics crossed my path by chance when I took an undergraduate class titled “Embodiment and Agency.” At the time I didn’t know the meaning of either word or that my life would be profoundly shaped by this inquiry.

Since then, I’ve been on a journey of discovery. I’ve trained in several mind/body modalities, including The Tamura Method, Embodied Relational Sex Therapy, Love Made Simple, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Throughout my years of experience I’ve learned there is a place deep inside, waiting to be felt. Like a spring, we emerge from this place and flow into our bodies and the world with aliveness, joy, and ease.
